Top pool player visits isles for busy weekend
SCOTTISH number three and UK number six professional eight-ball player Alan Reynolds is in Shetland this weekend to coincide with the youth, junior and under-21s inter-county.
Five competitions will be played over the weekend and are open to anyone within the age groups. Times and groups are as follows –
Today: under-21s flyer, Scalloway Boating Club at 11am; under-21s doubles, Scalloway Boating Club at 2pm; under-18s county, Scalloway Boating Club at 4pm.
Tomorrow: under-18s singles, Scalloway Boating Club at 11am.
Sunday: under- 21s county, Norscot Angling Club at 1pm.
Monday: under-21s singles, Norscot Angling Club at 11am.
The under-18s and under-21s county players are: Andrew Stout, Keir Johnson, Luke Johnson, Bruce McCulloch, Mitchell Cross, Scott Henderson, Brian Hutchison, Andrew Cheyne, Grant Fullerton, Mark Laurenson, Stuart Sinclair and Ben Kerr. Players are reminded that normal dress code is necessary for all county matches.
Alan will be taking part in a one-off challenge against Shetland’s Neil Cummins at the Norscot Angling Cub on Saturday at 9pm, and exhibiting his skills and trick shots there on Sunday at 4pm. The senior B county competition will also be played on Saturday at Scalloway Boating Club at 4pm. Names should be in for 6.30pm and there are no age restrictions.
