Felix chosen for Scots swim squad

DELTING Dolphins swimmer Felix Gifford, 14, has been selected for the Scottish national youth development squad.

The achievement reflects his progress in the last 12 months. The squad programme involves two performance weekends, together with a five-day camp over Christmas at Stirling, the national swimming centre.

By accepting his position and representing his sport at the highest level, Felix has agreed to commit to improving his personal performance, to become the most professional athlete he can, and also commit to increasing his level and quality of training.

The honour of being selected for the squad is a major step towards Felix’s ambition to represent Scotland in the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
