Concerts in Japan
FIDDLERS’ Bid are to head out to Japan early next month for their second tour of the country.
The band is due to play three concerts, undertake a recording session with a high-profile Japanese duo and carry out promotional appearances.
Three full concerts are in Hyogo on 7th November, Club Quatro in Tokyo on 9th November and the Musashino Hall, also in Tokyo, on 11th November.
Fiddlers’ Bid have also been invited to make guest appearances on the new album currently being recorded by Japanese duo Humbert Humber – a well established and high profile group in their home country.
Band member Kevin Henderson said: “We’re very excited about going back out to Japan as we had an amazing time the first time we went out there a couple of years ago.
“They really know and love their music and you certainly get incredibly enthusiastic audiences, which tends to fire the band up even more. Hopefully this trip will lead to more trips to the Far East in the near future.”
After returning Fiddlers’ Bid will undertake three UK dates: Aberdeen’s Music Hall on 20th November; the Woodend Barn, Banchory, on 21st November; and the Alnwick Playhouse in Northumberland on 22nd November. Tickets are currently on sale for all three appearances.
Once the live dates are complete the band will be getting together to rehearse and demo material for their next album, due out later in 2009.
