NorthLink ferry forced to operate from Rosyth

Ferry passengers travelling to Shetland on Tuesday night will leave from Rosyth after the Hjaltland was diverted there because of low tides in Aberdeen Harbour.

The vessel was due to depart Rosyth at 9pm with passengers either checking in in Aberdeen as normal between 5pm and 6.30pm and being bussed to the Fife port or checking in directly in Rosyth itself.

The disruption comes at a time when the other ferry, the Hrossey, is undergoing essential maintenance in Denmark.
