Two chosen
Young netball players Louise Jamieson, from Lerwick, and Ann-Marie Kennerly, from Yell, have gained a place in the North of Scotland development squad.
Their selection came after Shetland Junior Netball Development Group put forward 12 girls aged under 15 for trials in Dundee.
The North Pathway development squad, organised and administered by Netball Scotland, involves players from all over the north of Scotland. Successful girls have an opportunity to train together on several more occasions, developing their speed, fitness and skills.
At the Dundee trials all the girls did training drills and played games in their chosen positions in front of four selectors/coaches. Louise and Ann-Marie Kennerley were successful on the day and were congratulated by the local development group.
