Educational trust looking for applicants
Zetland Educational Trust is looking for projects and activities which require funding.
The trust, administered by Shetland Islands Council, set up in the 1960s from a number of endowments, is intended to enhance the educational experience of pupils attending schools throughout the isles.
Activities must fall under one of the following headings: educational excursions; special equipment; promotion of ability and skill in swimming; promotion of knowledge of Shetland; or educational experiments and research.
Projects that are considered to be innovative and make creative use of resources, as well as being new, will be viewed favourably.
Funds will be allocated for activities planned between 1st August 2009 and 31st July 2010. The closing date for applications is 31st May.
If anyone would like to apply for funding, check the guidelines, or receive an application form, log on to www.shetland.gov.uk/education/ZetlandEducationalTrust.asp.
