Police in England are appealing for help to trace a missing man they believe may be in Shetland or Orkney.

Concern is growing for Timothy Berendt, 44, from Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, who has not been seen since 5pm on Friday.

Thames Valley Police say it is possible Mr Berendt, who needs medication and whose family are concerned for his welfare, could be in the isles.

He is described as white, of heavy build, 6ft tall in height with light brown, receding hair and blue eyes.

Anyone who has seen him or knows where he is should contact Thames Valley Police on 0845 8 505 505, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
