Experience I’ll cherish

I am writing to say thank you. I would like to thank the people who voted for me or listened to my arguments throughout the campaign. I would like to thank the other candidates for the way the campaign was conducted. I congratulate Alistair Carmichael on his victory and on his position in the government.

I would like to thank the staff that organised the election and made sure it ran smoothly. I would like to thank my campaign team who did a fantastic job for me however they helped.
Throughout the campaign the number of young people that asked questions delighted me. It shows that politics is something that people care about. Despite the campaign being very hard work I had fun and to any young person who wants to get involved in politics the one piece of advice I would give to them is have fun!

It has been a privilege to fight the seat where I have my roots; it will be an experience that I will cherish.

Mark Cooper
Scottish Labour candidate
