Man who died after he was found in Sandveien with head injury named

A man who died after being found in the Sandveien area of Lerwick with a suspected head injury at the weekend was named today as Francis Corbett.

The 53-year-old was discovered at around 12.30am on Saturday and taken by ambulance to the Gilbert Bain Hospital for treatment. However he died soon afterwards.

Police said there were no suspicious circumstances although witnesses who may have been in the area at the time were urged to come forward.

A report is to be sent to the procurator fiscal.
