Saturday night ferry sailing cancelled due to bad weather forecast

The sailing of the NorthLink ferry Hjaltland, due to leave Lerwick for Aberdeen on Saturday evening, has been cancelled due to a bad weather forecast.

The Hjaltland has been in wet dock in Lerwick for over a week and was due to take over at the weekend on the Pentland Firth route to allow the Hamnavoe to go for her refit.

Meanwhile the Hrossey is still scheduled to leave Lerwick tonight at 5.30pm, calling at Kirkwall and Aberdeen, but NorthLink said the departure and arrival times may be subject to delay depending on the weather.
