Zetland 5, New Revolution 14

The first half saw New Revolution dominating Zetland with good passing between Stacey Laurenson, Kristan Robertson and Brian Irvine making light work of Zetland’s defence. Indyia Bradley and Nathan Coote made some headway and managed to get two goals in the last minutes of the second half, making it 9-2 at half time.

Zetland came out fighting after the break with Liam Graham making a good break down the wing and scoring. New Rev came back with two goals from Stacey Laurenson and one from Kristan Robertson. Zetland kept on fighting and and got another goal from Liam Graham.

New Rev kept the pressure on and Bryan Irvine got his fifth goal of the night. Indyia Bradley showed determination with a good goal, driving down the middle of the field to score. Stacey Laurenson got her sixth of the night, making the final score 14-5 to New Rev.

Deltmavine 7, Zetland 0

Zetland were looking determined to make their second game of the night a win, and the game got off to a cracking pace as they tore into the Deltmavine half.

The Delts coped well with the initial attack, despite only having five players, and were quickly on the counter. Nicola Blance hammered the ball out of danger into the capable hands of Andrew Aitken, who slotted it home to give the Delts an early lead.

Zetland came back strongly, but despite numerous shots and short corners they were unable to make it past Megan Nicholson in the goals. Deltmavine’s attacking force of Lee Balfour, Andrew Aitken and Ross MacDougal continuously linked well, and three more sweet shots from Aitken made the score 4-0 to the Delts at half time.

The second half began with MacDougal quickly lengthening Deltmavine’s lead, as he struck it home to make it 5-0. Blance made a few attempts to score, but couldn’t quite seem to find the goal. However, Aitken was on fine shooting form and hit the back of the net for his fifth of the night.

Zetland made some excellent attempts to get a goal of their own, with great shots coming from Indyia Bradley and Adam Johnson, but Nicholson was determined to keep a clean sheet and gave nothing away. MacDougal managed to capitalise once more just before the final whistle to end the game at 7-0.

Players of the match were Andrew Aitken for Deltmavine and Indyia Bradley for Zetland.
