Brae woman in court again following cannabis seizure

A woman arrested following the seizure of one of Shetland’s biggest ever cannabis cultivations made her second private appearance at Lerwick Sheriff Court today.

Rachel Holmes, 30, of Burgadale in Brae, is accused of contravening the Misuse of Drugs Act. She made no plea and was fully committed for trial before being taken back into custody.

Police discovered a cannabis farm following a house search in Brae earlier this month.

Cannabis plants with a potential to yield illegal drugs with a street value of £30,000 were seized following the raid.
