Robin Calder has been appointed the new head teacher of Whalsay School by the SIC’s children’s services department.
Mr Calder started work in the isles as a history teacher at the Anderson High School. He was appointed to his current post of prinipal teacher of pupil support at the AHS in 2007.
It is expected he will take up the new post on 28th November.
