Bail for reveller accused of confrontation with police
A man accused of challenging door staff to fight and struggling with the police during a town centre incident on Saturday appeared from custody at Lerwick Sheriff Court today.
Calum Jamieson, 28, of St Olaf Street, Lerwick, made no plea and was released on bail to appear again on 18th April. He was ordered not to be under the influence of alcohol in public in the meantime.
He is alleged to have been threatening and abusive while in a police vehicle in Quendale Lane, Lerwick, including shouting, swearing and spitting and headbutting the inside of the vehicle.
Meanwhile a man appeared in private on petition at Lerwick Sheriff Court alleging assault.
Neil Alan Tulloch, 38, made no plea or declaration and the case was committed for further examination and released on bail.
