Practically unsinkable (James Mackenzie)
A “practically unsinkable” Titanic maiden voyage is planned for Shetlanders this morning. The ship has, according to its makers, rendered obsolete the destructive power of wind and wave.
It is the biggest and best yet. It is magnificent. No less than 30 millionaires are on board. It will never founder. Warnings of icebergs on the route will not be passed to the bridge. There are not nearly enough lifeboats for the passengers and crew. It is a risk worth taking.

I think that sums up the folly of it all.
