Spurs and Delting make it to Manson Cup final

Spurs and Delting will contest senior football’s Manson Cup final after two extremely tight semi-finals last night.

Spurs needed extra time to force a result against Celtic when the two sides met again just three days after the milkbags’ Madrid Cup final victory on Friday. It was 1-1 at full time and Paul Molloy and Connel Gresham struck in the extra period. Molloy had earlier been on target for Spurs in normal time with Lowrie Simpson replying for the hoops.

Delting managed to see off Scalloway 3-2 at Brae with goals from Ross MacDougall, Fraser Hall and Donald Wilmore with Andrew Flett and Scott Henderson countering for the villagers.

The date for the Manson Cup final will be announced soon.

See Friday’s Shetland Times for a full football round-up, tables and fixtures.
