Spurs and Whitedale clinch Fraser Cup final places

Spurs will take on Whitedale in the final of the Fraser Cup next week after two high-scoring semi-finals were settled on Monday night.

The Milkbags continue their search for silverware after a convincing 4-0 victory over Thistle. Jordan Webb got a brace while Sam Maver and Sam Ward got the others.

Meanwhile Whitedale were 3-2 victors over Scalloway keeping them in the hunt for the clean sweep of trophies. Scorers were Jamie Wilson, Ali Scott and John Hutchison. Scalloway had been ahead twice with goals from Robert Garrick and Jamie Allan.

The final will be played on August 10th.

The weekend results were:

G&S Premier League

Thistle 0, Whitedale 6 

Greg Tulloch (two), Richard Sinclair, Martin Clark, Jamie Wilson and John
Hutchison getting the goals that put Whitedale back in the hunt for league glory.

Whalsay 1,  Delting 3

A good result for the Delts as Whalsay’s form suffers. Ross Irvine had put Whalsay ahead but goals from Peter Peterson and a Fraser Hall brace sealed the win.

Celtic v Scalloway was postponed.

ESS Bloomfield Cup preliminary round

Spurs 1, Delting 0
Dominic Mann got the winning goal as the Milkbags progress to the full stages of the competition.
