Offshore worker taken ill
An offshore worker has been evacuated from a platform 120 miles south east of Sumburgh.
The coastguard helicopter was scrambled this morning to take the man from the Forties Delta platform after he began suffering from a medical condition.
He was landed at Sumburgh Airport after poor visibility hindered the preferred landing site at the Clickimin in Lerwick.
An ambulance was arranged to transfer him to the Gilbert Bain Hospital in the town for treatment.
