Telephone troubles

Due to a technical fault The Shetland Times is experiencing problems with the telephones at the offices and newsroom at Gremista.The main switchboard number (01595) 742000 is able to take calls, but they cannot be transferred. Anyone trying to contact The Shetland Times staff on their direct-dial numbers may be hearing a constant engaged tone.

BT is aware of the fault, but is unable to repair it until a part is flown north. The Shetland Times Ltd apologises for any inconvenience this problem is causing and hope the situation is back to normal quickly.
