Canoe vandals strike in harbour

Police are urging anyone with information about a vandal attack on a hand built wooden canoe in Lerwick at the weekend to contact them.

According to the police, the canoe was damaged by “two intoxicated males” at the harbour  about 7.30pm on Sunday.

The two men were described as between 20 to 30 years of age, of slim build and about 6ft to 6ft 2 inches tall. One man had thick glasses and a spotty complexion and was wearing a black jacket and jeans.

The other man had dark hair and was wearing a green jacket and jeans. They were both seen to make off in the direction of Commercial Street and Harbour Street.
