Hockey team through to last four of Scottish District Cup
The Shetland Ladies hockey team defeated East Kilbride 4-1 at Aberdeen earlier today to reach the semi-finals of the Scottish District Cup for the fifth year running.
Two goals by Stacey Laurenson gave Shetland a 2-0 lead and although East Kilbride pulled one back further strikes from Rhea Nicolson and Laurenson again for her hat trick made sure of victory.
Orkney are also through to the last four of the competition after a 2-0 win over Highland while the other two matches saw a 9-8 victory for Madras FP over Edinburgh University 4s and a 4-2 win for Livingston & West Lothian over Milne Craig Clydesdale Western 4s.
The semi-finals are due to be played at the beginning of March.
