Promote Shetland boss appointed interim trust manager

Promote Shetland manager Andy Steven has been appointed acting general manager of Shetland Amenity Trust.

Mr Steven has taken on the role following the death of general manager Jimmy Moncrieff, who died last week after a short illness.

Mr Moncreiff had been in charge of the trust for the past 23 years.

A full review of the trust’s senior management is to take place and Mr Steven, who had deputy manager duties added to his job description in December, has taken the helm.

Amenity trust chairman Brian Gregson said: “We are pleased to announce this appointment, which will ensure that the aims of the trust will continue to be delivered.

“A full review of the trust’s senior management will now take place, but until this is completed, we are confident that the trust is in good hands.”
