Emergency services stood down after plane lands safely
A full emergency was declared at Sumburgh Airport shortly before 7pm.
Police contacted the fire service at 6.56pm and three appliances were despatched to the airport. The coastguard service and lifeboat crews were notified as a matter of course.
However, the incident was stood down after the plane which was causing concern landed safely, staff at the fire control room in Dundee said.
