General Manager with DH Marine

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced General Manager to lead our operations in the Shetland Islands. Our company is a well-established provider of engineering services, specialising in marine and electrical systems for offshore, industrial, and maritime sectors. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring projects are delivered on time and to the highest quality.
• Manage and motivate a skilled workforce, including engineers, technicians, and support staff.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations, health & safety standards, and environmental policies.
• Develop and implement business strategies to drive growth and operational efficiency.
• Build strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and local stakeholders.
• Provide leadership in financial planning, budgeting, and resource allocation.

Candidate Requirements:

• Proven experience in a senior management role, ideally within marine, electrical, or engineering sectors.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage diverse teams and projects.
• Sound knowledge of health & safety, environmental regulations, and industry best practices.
• Financial acumen with experience in budget management and cost control.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Previous experience in offshore or remote locations is an advantage.
