Fisherman to cycle length of Britain for CLAN appeal
Shetland fisherman Marvin Inkster, a crewman on the Radiant Star, is about to cycle the length of Great Britain to raise money for the CLAN 1,2,3 appeal.
Setting off from his home in Burra, Marvin will cycle to Lerwick to board the ferry to Orkney and cycle across Orkney before taking another ferry to John O’Groats. He will then attempt to cycle the length of the British mainland, aiming to cover the distance in 10 days – an average of about 100 miles per day.
Anybody wishing to sponsor Marvin will find a sponsor form at the reception of LHD Ltd in Alexandra Building, Lerwick, or by contacting his sister Ingrid Sandison on (01595) 693730 or by email to ijsandison@hotmail.com.
