Garrison plays host to children’s play
The Garrison Theatre is hosting three performances of the play Story of a Family on Tuesday and Wednesday this week as part of the Bank of Scotland Imaginate Festival 2009.
Produced by Italian company Compagnia Rodisio, the production is suitable for children aged 10 and over and takes a unique look at family life through the eyes of a child. Described by critics as brilliantly funny, touching and at times all too familiar, the story is designed to captivate children and adults alike.
Tony Reekie, festival director, said: “We are looking forward to this, our 20th festival, presenting a very exciting programme for young and old alike throughout Scotland.”
Susan Rice, managing director of Lloyds Banking Group Scotland, added: “Bank of Scotland has supported Imaginate since the festival began in 1990. We are delighted to be working with them still in this, their 20th festival as they continue to bring excitement, engagement and enchantment to young people across Scotland.”
Story of a Family is on at the Garrison Theatre on Tuesday 9th June, at 10.30am and 19.30pm, and on Wednesday 10th June at 10.30am. Tickets are available from the box office on (01595) 745555.
