Kaylee is named Citröen’s top young apprentice
Motor vehicle apprentice Kaylee Robertson has picked up the top prize in Citröen’s young apprentice of the year competition.
Representatives from Citröen UK presented the award at Central Garage in Brae, where Kaylee, 19, is in the second year of the Citröen advanced modern apprenticeship.
After completing the fifth year at Brae High School with a total of five Highers, nine Standard Grades and a collection of Royal College of music certificates, Kaylee decided to upgrade her Saturday job at the garage to full-time for a year out.
However, the work quickly led to a decision that this was the career she wanted to pursue, and she was accepted into the advanced modern apprenticeship programme by Citröen.
She may be the only girl in her college year – but that did not stop Kaylee from outperforming every boy in her class on a regular basis.
Central Garage manager John Robertson was delighted that Kaylee had picked up the award. It was very well deserved, he said, recognising all the hard work she has put in at college, as well as her absolute dedication to her profession.
