Singing Kettle to return in October with Pirates Party

Ahoy shipmates! The good news for all children in Shetland is that The Singing Kettle are heading back to the isles after their successful visit to this year’s folk festival.

As part of the year-long anniversary celebrating 25 years of the Clickimin Leisure Centre, Scotland’s favourite children’s entertainers will return with a brand new show called “Pirates Party” in October.

Clickimin manager Robert Geddes said: “It’s fantastic the Singing Kettle have managed to fit us into their hectic schedule. We wanted something substantial and exciting for the kids as part of the anniversary and they certainly fit the bill.”

The two shows will take place at Clickimin on Thursday 7th October at 5pm and Friday 8th October at 6pm.

Cilla Fisher from the Singing Kettle said: “We had a fantastic time last month at the folk festival. The audiences were wonderful and the atmosphere was amazing. Pirates Party will be great too, so come on board for the nautical nonsense and fantastic songs like Drunken Sailor, Over the Irish Sea and Eelly Alley O.

Mr Geddes added: “We have lots of events throughout the anniversary year and The Singing Kettle are a great addition to the programme. The last time they were here the tickets sold out in 90 minutes so I would advise everyone to buy early.”
