Second night of cancellations for north boats

Gale force south-easterly winds have forced the cancellation of both NorthLink’s passenger boats again tonight.

With no sailing of the Hjaltland to Aberdeen at 7pm as scheduled, the next departure from Lerwick is set to be tomorrow at 5.30pm sailing for Kirkwall and Aberdeen, although this sailing is currently under review and a decision will be made at 10am tomorrow.

The next scheduled departure of the Hrossey, currently berthed in Aberdeen, will be tomorrow at 7pm, sailing for Lerwick.

Freight boat Hildasay‘s sailing from Lerwick to Aberdeen at 6pm tonight has also been cancelled.

So has the sailing of freight boat Clare, currently berthed in Aberdeen and due to sail to Lerwick at 6pm. Her next scheduled departure will be tomorrow at 6pm.

The only boat  expected to operate to schedule today is the Hamnavoe.
