North boat sailing cancelled due to poor weather forecast

Tonight’s northbound sailing of the Hjaltland from Aberdeen to Kirkwall and Lerwick has been cancelled due to forecast gale force winds and high sea conditions. The vessel was due to depart at 5pm.

However the southbound sailing of the Hrossey, departing Lerwick at 7pm, is scheduled to go ahead.

The 6pm sailing of the freight vessel Helliar, which is currently berthed in Aberdeen, has also been cancelled.
