First up on Friday is the UK’s top new tribute to the Stone Roses – the Total Stone Roses – who will play at the Lerwick Legion.

The Total Stone Roses are a London-based band tribute who have been together nearly two years, and in that time have assembled a strong following due to their accurate versions of Stone Roses classics.

The band, who are on a Scottish tour, play a 90-minute set packed with Stone Roses hits such as Fools Gold, She Bangs The Drums and Love Spreads.

Support for the evening come from up-and-coming Shetland indie band, Casino Feet, while Klub Revolution DJs will be spinning some Madchester anthems between bands.

Tickets are available from High Level Music.

On Saturday night DJ Kutski will finally play his debut Shetland show at Mareel in Lerwick following the much publicised cancellation of his original date at back in August.

Kutski has become well respected in the world of “hard house” dance music due to his amazing tehnical skills behind a DJ mixer and his ear for a great dance tune.

The DJ’s growing popularity led to him being offered a national slot on BBC Radio 1 and his show continues to go from strength to strength.

Support for the Kutski gig at Mareel comes from local dance DJs G Whizz and DJ Kenny.

Tickets are available from Shetland Box Office at Mareel and Islesburgh, by telephone on (01595) 745555 or online at www.shetland boxoffice.org.
