Shetfest offers full day of music
A full day of music is on offer at Shetfest in the Royal British Legion in Lerwick tomorrow, with all ages welcome.
The doors open at 2pm, and the audience will be able to enjoy music from an array of 14 bands, three local and the others from south, who are travelling up on the boat tonight.
One of the organisers, Jono Sandilands, who is appearing at the event in local band Frankeneinstein, with bandmates Sandy Middleton and Marshall Brill, said the day would be ” all about the music”, and opening in the early afternoon would allow families to come.
He added that the range of music on offer would give people access to bands they would never normally get the chance to see.
Audiences may, however, be familiar with at least one of the other local bands, Brundlehorse, which was formed about a year ago and comprises Tirval Scott, Stephen Ferguson and Bobby Sutherland.
It is hoped that recently-formed band Audiopium will also make an appearance.
A variety of soft drinks will be available for those under the legal drinking age.
