Homeless man denies knife charge
A man accused of having a knife and stating he would assault a night porter with a rock has been remanded in custody.
Christopher Robinson, 56, of no fixed abode denies having the lock-knife at the Saxa Vord resort in Unst on 13th August.
He also pleaded not guilty to behaving in a threatening manner at the Islesburgh hostel in King Harald Street a day later.
Robinson is charged with telling two women of his intention to assault the porter at the Islesburgh hostel, while on bail. The charge also alleges he claimed to have a knife and said he may assault the porter and any police who attended the scene.
Trial was set for 17th September with an intermediate diet on 4th September. Bail was refused.
