Calendar photos – vote for your favourite
The Shetland Times newsroom was flooded with photographs following a Facebook appeal for entries to the newspaper’s calendar competition.
A free 2015 calendar will be included with every issue on 31st December and as usual it will feature a image which captures the spirit of Shetland life.
But in a change from previous years The Shetland Times asked readers to supply some of their favourite photographs – and almost 90 entries were sent in.
Only one can be used and photographer Dave Donaldson and editor Adam Civico sifted through the images to make a shortlist. Now it is down to Shetland Times readers to vote for their favourite from that list.
To have your say choose your favourite image from the gallery (above) and take part in our online poll to decide which photograph will be pinned to walls across Shetland on next year’s calendar.

Mr Civico said: “Thank you to everyone who entered the competition, we had some fantastic entries which really lived up to the brief of capturing the essence of Shetland life.
“Any of the shortlisted entries would look fantastic on the calendar – as well as many more which unfortunately missed out – but only one can win.”
Voting will close on Wednesday 3rd December and the winning entry will be announced in next week’s paper.

Shame we can only pick one! Stunning photos… maybe a similar competition for a full-blown calendar next year?
