Police are looking to find 51-year-old Philip Smith, who has been reported missing from Virkie and not seen since about 6pm on Thursday.
He is described as about 5′ 8″ tall, of slim build, with short brown hair and wearing glasses.
Mr Smith was last seen wearing a green coat, dark trousers and was carrying a rucksack.
Anyone with information about his whereabouts should contact the police by calling 101.
