Scrap metal stolen

Police in Lerwick have received a report of the theft of scrap metal between Friday and Sunday.

Police say it is likely the culprit or culprits would have used a vehicle to remove the items from Mair’s Quay, Holmsgarth, Lerwick. Officers are looking for any information witnesses may be able to provide with regards to any suspicious activity in the area.

The police also want to remind members of the public to ensure all items kept outside are secure and if possible out of sight to deter any such opportunist thefts.
