Theft of sheep from Nesting area
A number of sheep and lambs have been stolen from a croft in the Nesting area, police have today warned.
One of the animals in particular is said to be a pure bred Dutch Texel, valued at over £1,100.
PC Alex Lumsden said the sheep had very recently been treated with a fluke and worm drench – a product known as Combinex, which can remain within the animal for 60 days and, if consumed, may cause stomach pains.
He asked anyone with information to contact the police immediately.
