Apprentice bricklayer’s awards

Apprentice bricklayer Trevor Tulloch has won two awards from the North East Scotland College in Aberdeen.

He was presented with the Best Year 1 Bricklaying Award and the Grampian Construction Training Group Trophy to recognise his efforts at the college during the past year.

An employee of Garriock Bros Ltd, he is now in his second year and attends the college on block release.

He received his awards from Eric Rasmussen, a past president of the Scottish Decorators Federation.

College faculty manager Pat Cromar said: “Trevor showed an excellent attitude towards his work in the college, taking great care with his practical work as well as classroom tasks.

“He continually produced the highest standard of work and is a worthy winner of both awards.”

Prizes were also presented at the ceremony to those studying plumbing, carpentry and joinery and painting and decorating.
