Think again Alistair (Jonathan Wills)
I have just written to our MP, Alistair Carmichael, as follows and I urge friends and colleagues to do likewise:
“Dear Alistair,
“I didn’t write to you earlier about the vote on bombing Syria because it never occurred to me that, with your long and honourable record as a defender of human rights, you would contemplate supporting David Cameron on this issue.
“Now I read that you intend to vote for the bombing campaign, which will undoubtedly cause civilian casualties. I am truly shocked and dismayed by this news.
“I hope you will reconsider before going into the division lobby this evening.”

Scotland’s first minister has said her “thoughts and good wishes” are with RAF personnel involved in air strikes targeting the Islamic State group.
But Nicola Sturgeon also stressed that she remained “deeply troubled” by UK military action in Syria. She does not seem very troubled by the Isis killings in Paris, not enough to offer any help to France, how very SNP/Alex of her!! Off course Dr. Wills is truly shocked by Alistair Carmichael. Makes no comment about being shocked by mass killing, rapes and sexual slavery. How very SNP of him. Strange how the SNP acolytes are so fast to criticise every one, that is apart from Isis, no divisive political advantage to be gained there. Shame on the SNP and those whose names they act in.

I’m sure Dr Wills appreciates the difficulty in avoiding civilian casualties when one’s enemy is too cowardly to wear a uniform. I’m guessing he would prefer troops on the ground … with their hands tied behind their back with punitive rules of engagement.
Or maybe he advocates our conversion to Islam in order to avoid conflict?
I’m not a fan of piece meal deployment and half arsed interventions but what could Cameron do if he lost this vote?
I’m wondering what strategy Dr Wills and his hard left comrades prefer, maybe he could enlighten us.
