First Minister to visit isles on Monday
Scottish First Minister Nicola Sturgeon is to make a flying visit to Shetland next week, following in the footsteps of agriculture minister Richard Lochhead who will be in the isles tomorrow.
Ms Sturgeon will arrive on Monday and will open the SNP campaign hub in Lerwick at 6.30pm, along with local candidate Danus Skene.
She will then speak and take questions an hour later at a public meeting in Shetland Museum, chaired by Robbie McGregor from the local SNP branch.
Before that Mr Lochhead, who has faced fierce criticism recently over the government’s Less Favoured Areas (LFA) payments delay, will visit the abbatoir in Lerwick tomorrow afternoon.

Will husband Ian be with her?
If so, since its the holidays It would be an excellent chance to entertain the children at the Garrison.
I believe the last time the Krankies were in Shetland they went down very well.
Brian Smith
This is what is called a ‘joke’ in UKIP circles.

Brian makes an intelligent observation, they call that incisive and constructive comment in UNISON circles lol!!! Just where do you stand on any issue, Brian Smith? The cynical and sarcastic is fairly obvious but how about the constructive and informative about anything at all on any subject!!!!

There you go chaps, the perfect opportunity to have all those unanswered questions finally dealt with? I’m sure Mr Tulloch & Co will have many? Hopefully Tavish or Carmichael will show up to be corrected on a number of issues? Or perhaps Ali will be far too busy and just wait for the memo by someone who wasn’t there either?

“There you go chaps, the perfect opportunity to have all those unanswered questions finally dealt with”.
I like your sense of humour Robin, she has never answered a question that has been put to her yet so tell me why should she start now?

All hail, the sacred one cometh. She must be really worried by WS if she graces us with her divine presence so early in her campaign!!! I just wonder what election promises she will miraculously bless Shetland with?
