Not Wir Shetland policy (Kathy Greaves)
Contributors to the “web” and to Facebook do so with wide-ranging motives and may feel that they can express their views on every and all subjects – and why not?
Whether we agree with these views or not, we do enjoy free speech in this country.
Your regular feature Words from the Web is usually quite interesting but this week we note that a post from Gordon Harmer immediately after last week’s election, which can be said to be controversial, was picked up and published in The Shetland Times.
By the addition of the two following comments it could appear to attribute Gordon’s post as Wir Shetland’s policy, which it is not.
Neither is Gordon a spokesman for Wir Shetland; readers can view Wir Shetland’s policies on their website.
Kathy Greaves
Secretary, Wir Shetland (but not a spokesman)
Caergarth, Scatness, Virkie.

Thanks for clearing that up Kathy, I generally pay no attention to what Brian says about me because he knows as much about me and Wir Shetland as he does fishing and crofting.
As for Douglas Young’s effort, ” The peerie angry men are out of their box, and so easy tae wind up, Wir Shetland has split Tavish’s vote in twa by being aginst the EU and he’s fur it. Added a lot o humour tae the election, hope they’re aroond long enough tae pit up a candidate o their own we can question”.
Just read what he has said and then go back to last Thursday and see how wrong he was, as usual.
Douglas is once, twice, three times a loser so I wonder just how much longer he will be aroond. 😉
I also see he has not taken up John Tulloch’s offer, again, he must be afraid.
Brian Smith
Apocalypse started yet, Gordon? 😉

Not answering for Gordon, Brian Smith, but the Apocalypse seems to have happened to the Labour party in Scotland!! Talk about Corby being led by yesterday’s man, opened the door wide for Sturgeon and her cult. Mind you shows Socialism for what it is, about as much use to society as a motorcycle is to a goldfish.
Gordon Harmer
For me Brian, no. For you Brian, as Ian says it is underway 😉
