A black BMW car carried out a dangerous overtaking manoeuvre between Scalloway and Lerwick on Sunday, according to police.
The incident is said to have occurred at about 5.10pm on the A970 between the Scord and the Brig o’ Fitch.
The car in question allegedly overtook a number of vehicles with an oncoming motorist having to take evasive action by performing an emergency stop to avoid a collision.
