Spurs retain the Manson Cup
Spurs retained the Manson Cup following their 2-0 victory over Celtic at the Gilbertson Park yesterday.
Paul Molloy took advantage of a mistake by Celtic’s keeper and scored Spurs’ first goal in the first half.
Spurs’ Scott Morrison scored his team’s second after the break, not long after coming on as substitute.
Both sides had their chances and Celtic’s Lewis Anderson was denied a possible penalty in the first half and also hit the Spurs’ post in the second.
Magnus Flaws gave his review of the match and the trophy was presented to Spurs’ captain Sam Ward by Scott Ward who represented the Cup sponsors’ Simpson and Ward.
