Covid figure continues to rise

Shetland has recorded a further 13 Covid cases today (Tuesday).

That takes the isles seven day total to 103 cases.

NHS Shetland’s seven day total per 100,000 of population is one of the highest in Scotland – only behind NHS Forth Valley and NHS Dumfries and Galloway.

The isles rate per 100,000 of population is 498.5, according to the latest Scottish government figures.

That is even higher than NHS Lothian (341.6) and NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (311.3).

Why does Shetland Health Board not tell it as it actually is. Covid 19 is not going to go away. We ,with very few exception, will all either die from it, die from something else or, one way or another, develop an immunity against Covid 19. We will either get Covid 19 virus, spread it around family and friends, risk Long Covid, maybe occupy a hospital bed, perhaps ICU, ventilator and death, or get the vaccine. I had the vaccine, perhaps the nut jobs refusing the vaccine will prove Darwinian theory correct with a new caveat. No longer “survival of the fittest” but “non survival of the most stupid and their families friends and contacts”. You do not need to be a rocket scientist to see the blatantly obvious!!!
