Carol singing and mulled apple juice helped set the festive scene in Scalloway.
The Christmas lights were turned on at a special event at the Scalloway Youth and Community Centre.
The centre’s new manager, Pat Christie, was on hand to hit the big red button to switch on the lights.
She was helped along the way by Charlie Elf and Santa, himself.
