The coastguard helicopter was scrambled this morning [Saturday] for a medical evacuation from an offshore platform.
The platform was situated around 120 nautical miles north east of Sumburgh.
Shetland Coastguard said the casualty was flown to Sumburgh Airport before being transferred to an ambulance.
The incident happened shortly before 10am.
