Flood warning extended another day
A flood warning has been extended amid forecasts of high winds and waves.
The Scottish Environmental Protection Agency (Sepa) updated its warning for Shetland.
The warning is now in place until tomorrow morning, with peak of the high tide expected late this evening (Thursday).
“Impacts may include isolated property flooding and transport disruption,” it said.
“Remain vigilant and remember it is your responsibility to take actions which help protect yourself and your property.”
An earlier warning was in effect last night into this morning.

What is this climate alarmism?
I’ve just looked at the SEPA map of Shetland for where this alleged flooding may happen?
It looks like the areas that might flood are strictly within the limits of our burns and lochs.
They are already “flooded.”
Is this the start of “subtle” climate alarmism trying to make people fear things that will never happen?
Today isn’t any worse than many we have had in the past, but they decide try to cause alarm anyway.
There might be a tiny overflow from a burn or a Loch somewhere, but nothing too serious or worse than a usual day of heavy rain.
I’m sure digging up 000s of tons of peat will be of help in flood prevention!
