Shellfish officer job for Jennifer
SHETLAND Shellfish Management Organisation (SSMO) has appointed Jennifer Mouat as the new executive officer based in the Stewart Building, Lerwick.
Recently having taken up residence in Shetland, she will take on the role of managing the SSMO office and further developing the objectives of the organisation for the benefit of the Shetland fishery. She has a masters degree in environmental policy along with considerable public sector experience and formal project management qualifications. Ms Mouat said: “I am very pleased to be taking up this post and look forward to working with the directors, members and key stakeholders to continue to develop a sustainable shellfish resource for Shetland.
“I am delighted to be living in Shetland where I have a long family connection and look forward to enjoying the many opportunities that living and working in Shetland will bring.” SSMO chairman Ian Walterson said: “We are very pleased to welcome Jennifer to Shetland and look forward to working with her in supporting the Shetland shellfish industry.”
