Whitefish prices

BUSINESS at the fishmarkets have been “fairly busy,” with prices remaining strong throughout the week.

A spokesman for LHD said a number of boats were busily making up for the time they lost during the recent bad weather.

Whitefish: cod £2-£3.22; dogfish £1.32-£1.70; eels £0.60-£0.86; gurnards £0.20-£0.65; haddock £0.40-£2.37; hake £1-£3.25; halibut £5-£9.03; John Dory £5.30-£9.34; lemon sole £1.60-£6.09; ling £1.50-£2.13; lythe £3-£3.82; megrims £1.97-£6.40; monkfish £2.33-£4.60; plaice £0.40-£1.60; saithe £0.40-£1.37; skate £0.50-£1.93; squid £2.10-£3.83; turbot £5.10-£14.90; whiting £0.40-£2.43; witches: £1.30-£2.28.
