Steve Earle concert cancelled after fog hits flights

Friday night’s Steve Earle concert at the Clickimin Centre has been cancelled because the singer was unable to reach the isles due to freezing fog preventing his flight getting in.

Promoter Davie Gardner said he was disappointed for the almost 600 folk who had been looking forward to the night, some of whom were making it their Christmas night out.

He said he had been assured by Earle’s management that he would try to come to Shetland again in the future.

Full ticket refunds will be available from Shetland Box Office at Islesburgh Community Centre on (01595) 745555.
